Dr. Kinney, our Staff, and our Vision Therapists

Dr. Kathleen Kinney graduated from the Southern California College of Optometry and has been practicing as a developmental optometrist in the Pacific Northwest since 1993.

Dr. Kinney is a member of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development and was board certified as a Fellow (FCOVD) of this organization in 1998. She has served on the Board of Directors of COVD and on the Exam and Certification Board of COVD. She is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Optometric Physicians of Washington, Parents Active for Vision Education (PAVE) and the Optometric Extension Program.

Staff

Natalie Franklin is our Optical Director. She received her bachelor's degree in sociology and has trained extensively as an optician. She is well versed in all the latest eyewear and contact lens technologies. Natalie goes the extra mile to give our patients the best experience possible.

 

Linde Risdon is our Clinic Director. She received her bachelor's degree in health studies and has worked in a variety of optometric and health care settings. She has significant experience in direct patient care. Linde provides the WOW patient experience by treating our patients like family.

 

Maggie Grumm-Johnson is our Optometric Assistant. She received her bachelor's degree in criminal justice and has a rich background in customer service. Maggie makes our patients feel welcome and at ease.

 

Vision Therapists 

Marlene Martin is board certified as an Optometric Vision Therapist (COVT) by the College of Optometrists in Vision Development. She received her bachelor’s degree in child psychology and has previously worked as a preschool teacher. Marlene brings to vision therapy her exceptional ability to appreciate and nurture each patient’s unique learning style.

 

Peggy McAteer is board certified as an Optometric Vision Therapist (COVT) by the College of Optometrists in Vision Development. She received her bachelor’s degree in political theory and is a licensed massage practitioner. Peggy enjoys helping each patient gain greater insight into the thinking and seeing process.

 

Jill Combs is board certified as an Optometric Vision Therapist (COVT) by the College of Optometrists in Vision Development. She received her bachelor's degree in music performance and has studied as a piano teacher. Jill loves working with people and takes great joy in helping to improve the quality of their lives through vision therapy.
